Smiley Children Society’s Education-Driven Mission Continues to Inspire Positive Change in Rural Andhra Pradesh
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Since its establishment on January 19, 2019, Smiley Children Society has remained committed to one core mission—ensuring that every child, irrespective of economic background, has access to quality education and the support needed to build a better future. Through its volunteer-led initiatives and community partnerships, the organization continues to make a meaningful contribution to child welfare and educational development across Andhra Pradesh.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). The organization works at the grassroots level, collaborating with parents, schools, teachers, and local communities to address educational challenges faced by underprivileged children.
A major initiative undertaken by the society focuses on helping children gain admission to government schools. Volunteers actively identify children who have not yet enrolled in school, guide their parents through the admission process, and coordinate with school authorities to ensure that every eligible child has the opportunity to begin formal education.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the dedication of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for encouraging educational participation among economically weaker families.
“Education is the strongest foundation for a child’s future. Through collective efforts, we are helping families understand the value of education while ensuring that deserving children receive the opportunities they deserve,” said Prudhvi Moses.
In addition to supporting school admissions, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes in Angara for students who require additional academic assistance. The sessions provide individualized guidance in core subjects, homework support, and examination preparation, helping children improve their confidence and academic performance.
The organization further strengthens this initiative by providing free dinner to children attending the evening classes. By addressing both educational and nutritional needs, Smiley Children Society offers comprehensive support that benefits students and provides financial relief to their families.
Beyond academic initiatives, the organization actively promotes innovation in early childhood education. During awareness programs and educational events, Prudhvi Moses has emphasized that Anganwadi centres should adopt more creative and activity-based teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and encourage greater participation among young children.
As part of this commitment, Smiley Children Society donates educational equipment, classroom materials, and teaching aids to schools that implement child-friendly learning practices, helping educators create engaging classroom environments.
Looking toward the future, Smiley Children Society aims to expand its educational initiatives, strengthen its volunteer network, and collaborate with more educational institutions across Andhra Pradesh. By continuing to invest in children’s education, health, and overall development, the organization remains dedicated to creating lasting social impact and empowering the next generation with knowledge, confidence, and opportunity.
